The East-Ender, for all intents and purposes, is merely a Manhattan made with gin, but I can't find a similar recipe anywhere, unless you want to call it a Gin & It - gin and Italian, or sweet, vermouth - with bitters. Given that the Manhattan has been my drink of choice for, oh, let's just say that it's over a dozen years at this point, none of my friends were very surprised when I told them about the East-Ender, though I must say that it's been a delight to see their faces when they taste the drink.
